LOST :: Eggtown

Kate-sentric
Show opens with Locke cooking some eggs. We then follow Locke down a corridor to a locked room where we find he is holding Ben. Locke gives Ben the breakfast, they converse and Ben gets Locke in a tizzy. Locke storms out.
We’re taken to Kate and Claire on a front porch where Sawyer then enters and they converse, ending with Kate getting upset with Saywer – telling Sawyer to leave.
Cut to Kate in a limousine, puts on sunglasses and gets out to a barrage of photographers and reporters. Kate moves on with what we find out is her lawyer and enters a courthouse where Kate is now on trial for her past accusations. Judge determines Kate is a flight risk and remands her for the duration of the trial.

Come back to Sun and Jin on the beach. Jin is pointing out places on a map in America. Sun says she wans to raise my baby in Korea. Jin says, “isn’t it our baby?”
We now see Kate at Locke’s house wanting to speak to Miles (who Locke has locked up somewhere). Kate then sees Hurley taking food out of the complex and asks if he is taking it to Miles. Hurley says yes, where Kate responds by telling Hurley she will do it. At that point Hurley figures out she just “Scooby-Dooed” him. Kate moves on to find Miles. Miles says he will tell her everything she wants to know if he can have one minute to talk with Ben.
We’re taken back to the courthouse where Kate is with her laywer. Lawyer says, “I think we had better bring ‘him’ into this.” Kate refuses, laywer persists, Kate emphatically says, “you’re not bringing my son into this!”
Back to the beach where Jack is trying to call the freighter … no response.
Kate and Claire are now in the yard hanging laundry. Aaron begins fussing. Claire asks Kate to pick him up and comfort him. Kate declines. Claire says, “you should try being a mother sometime.”
Flashed forward to the courthouse with Kate. Lawyer calls Dr. Jack Sheppard as a character witness. Jack sits down and tells a story about how him and Kate met … different from what we know … only 8 survived … crashed in water … Kate was the crash-day hero … Kate administered First Aid to all … then, as Jack is continuing, Kate stands up and stops him from saying any more. Prosecution then asks Jack if he loves the defendant. Jack replies, “not any more.”
We come back to the island with Hurley picking out movies and chooses Xanadu. Kate wants to talk with Sawyer, Sawyer offers nice box of Dharma wine. Kate says she wants him to help her get Ben to Miles.

Sawyer turns up at Locke’s house to play some backgammon. Sawyer begins telling Locke the story of how Kate wants to bust out Ben to go to Miles. Locke gets in another tizzy and rushes off to where Miles is being held. They arrive at the boathouse to find Miles missing.
Kate now has Miles and breaks into Locke’s house where Ben is being held in the basement. Kate opens the door and Miles talks with Ben. Miles asks been if he knows who he is and who he works for … he then tells Ben he wants $3.2 million within a week. Kate says time’s up and pulls him out. Kate then asks Miles if they all know who she is. Miles says yes and suggests Kate stay on the island.

Kate is back in her house when Locke comes in and talks to Kate alone. Locke wants to know what Miles told Ben. Kate tells him and Locke tells her he wants her gone by morning.
We then go back to the courthouse with Kate. Her mom comes into the room in a wheelchair and says she doesn’t want to testify against her. Kate says, “then don’t.” Back to the island, Kate enters Sawyers room where they make out.
Back to the beach where Dan and Charlotte are counting cards, but Dan can only remember two of three cards and gets upset. Jack comes up and asks why they can’t contact the boat. Charlotte tells them of an emergency line … they call. Regina on the boat asks why they called that line. Charlotte asks about the helicopter that lifted off the island the day before. Regina knows nothing of the boat and everyone gets concerned about where it is.
Lock visits Miles in the boathouse where he is chained to the rafters. Locke puts a grenade in Miles’ mouth and leaves.

Back to the courthouse, prosecution doesn’t have their star witness (Kate’s mom). They then move to make a deal. DA wants 4 years, Kate says no. DA says 10 years probation w/ no leaving the state … Kate jumps and accepts. Kate then goes out the back door of the courthouse where a cab is waiting, and Jack. Kate says she’s heard him tell that story so many times that she’s starting to think he believes it. Jack tells her that what he said in there about not loving her was a lie. Kate asks him to come back to her house. Jack looks disturbed and declines. Kate says, “is it about my son? Until you can deal with it, we’re not going to see each other.”
We’re then taken to Kate’s house after the trial where she talks to a babysitter who tells her that “he” just went down for a nap. Kate goes upstairs to “his” room where a young blonde toddler is sleeping. She wakes him up, hugs him and says, “Hi, Aaron.”

Kate has Claire’s baby Aaron. I called it from the beginning of this episode.
