Madden 2009
I recently got a brand new copy of Madden 2009.
My philosophy on video games (especially the Madden franchise and other EA Sports games) has always been, “buy a new one every two years or so.” It’s not that I don’t have the money to buy a new game every year … well, maybe it is … but, I normally don’t see the benefit of spending the $$$ on a new game just because it’s a new game – especially when there aren’t vast differences between the versions.
I have a PS2, and I like a few of the features. It’s not wildly newer or different than my previous version. I’ve had some problems with my copy of the game. It’s almost certain that the game will lock-up between the 3rd and 4th quarter if I’m playing a game. If I’m simulating the game, no problems. I’m starting to wonder if it’s my machine that might have some issues, but I’ve gotten a few of these other new releases this year that have locked-up my PS2 – Rock Band being the real culprit.
What I’m really jonesin’ for is NCAA Football 2009 for the XBox360 … oh, on a flat screen! Not that I have an XBox360 – or a flat screen, but I played this game on this platform the other day and … wow are the graphics amazing on the flat screen! But that can be discussed later.
